Serve

It is an affirmation of our created worth that Jesus invites us to serve

At City Line, there are a variety of ways for getting involved to build up the Church and contribute to the work of Jesus in bringing restoration to our world. See where your giftings could be used by God.

Benevolence Ministry
THE BENEVOLENCE TEAM

is responsible for coordinating the material and financial care of individuals and families within our community. To contact the Benevolence Team, please email Erich Sachse.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Erich Sachse.

Mission Team
THE MISSION TEAM

coordinates the “outward” face of City Line Church, bolstering both the congregation as well as its partner organizations in the work of loving Philadelphia and the world as ambassadors of God’s purposes in Jesus Christ. The team encourages and supports both local and global partner organizations and occasionally organizes short-term trips.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED: If you are interested in getting involved, please contact the mission team.

College Ministry Team
THE COLLEGE MINISTRY TEAM

leads and coordinates the church in its welcome and care for the students among us.  In addition to hosting student-specific events throughout the school year and investing in the spiritual growth of individual students, this team also supports City Line’s formal partnerships with campus ministries.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED: If you are interested in getting involved, please contact David Fuller.

SAT Prep MInistry
THE SAT/COLLEGE PREP MINISTRY

is an integral part of City Line’s missional efforts in serving our neighbors in Upper Darby, with the goal of serving high school students - primarily 10th and 11th graders - both educationally and spiritually.  The ministry leverages City Line’s educational resources and in collaboration with Upper Darby Ministry to serve neighborhood youth and their families as they prepare for higher education.

In addition to weekly SAT study/practice sessions, activities including college and financial aid applications, career panel discussion/counseling, and campus visits are conducted throughout the year. The ministry also instills in students core life skills like hard work, responsibility and punctuality, which will be essential as they transition into college and grow into adults.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:  If interested, please contact Kobby Essien for more information.

The Projection Team
THE PROJECTION TEAM

helps to guide the congregation through the flow of our worship service by producing and projecting slides for songs and other responsive liturgical parts.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:  If you are interested in joining the team (no prior experience or technical expertise required!), please contact Stephen Burns.

Welcome Ministry
A WARM SMILE

and a kind greeting on Sundays is the best part of the Welcome Ministry's job! City Line has become the home church for many people because Sunday worship feels like you are coming  to worship with family. It’s a privilege to be able to usher individuals into our community, and the Welcome Ministry takes joy in knowing that our little ways of caring for our spiritual family has an impact!

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:  Welcome Ministry is a fantastic way to get to know and serve all of our City Line brothers and sisters.  We ask for a commitment of welcoming one or two Sundays per month. If you are interested, please contact David Fuller.

Worship & Praise Ministry

THE WORSHIP AND PRAISE MINISTRY

works to enhance the corporate worship of our Lord through Christ-centered, passionate songs of worship as well as worship in its various forms.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:  We are blessed to have a number of very gifted leaders, musicians, vocalists, sound engineers and multimedia savvy sisters and brothers serving together.  However, we are always looking for more members to not only serve with us, but to also learn more about what it means to lead people into the worship of our Lord.  If you are at all interested in learning more about serving in this capacity, please do not hesitate to contact Tom Loyd.
