Each Sunday, children at City Line are invited into a joyful expression of Christian worship in one of three worshiping communities:
Our approach intends to develop playful, curious and deeply spiritual children through practicing the worship of God and savoring the stories of the Bible.
Our babies and toddlers will get to taste and see the goodness of the Lord through the nurturing love and care of our dedicated volunteers.
Our PreK children will engage in worship through creative songs and finger plays, short interactive Bible story and craft. We will also have snack and play time.
The Lower Elementary class spends time each Sunday morning worshiping God through songs, prayer, scripture, listening to a lesson, and a time of reflection to saturate our hearts. We are building a community of believers by sharing prayer requests, engaging in discussion based on the lesson, and of course playing together!
The Upper Elementary class provides a space for 3rd-5th graders to learn to apply the truths of the Bible into their own lives and to learn how to actively participate in the full worship service. On the first and second weeks of each month, this class meets during the service for a time of teaching and activities just for this age group. On the third and fourth Sundays of each month, this class participates in the adult worship service and meets afterwards for a time of games and sermon discussion.
On Sundays at 9:00 am, adults and children worship together during the first part of the service – singing songs, praying, and learning the rhythms of confession and forgiveness. Before the sermon (about 20 minutes into the service), children, their parents/guardians, and the teachers & volunteers are prayed for, and then dismissed to their age-appropriate classes (there will be signs to guide you). Parents/guardians are asked to drop-off and pick-up their children from their classroom. Children’s worship ends at the same time as the main service.
