He graduated with degrees in Biblical Studies and Communications from Grace College and later a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary. In 2007 the Egli’s moved into the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. He served as ministry director, pastor, and church planter with the Liberti Communion of Churches. He was ordained in Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 2015. He also served Renewal Presbyterian Church as the executive pastor from 2020 to 2023. He completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Missio Seminary focusing on contextualizing urban ministry and theological education in 2022.

DAVID FULLER
Director of Ministries

Elder

David became Director of Ministries in early 2024. In this role he oversees and manages the staff & volunteers in various ministries, manages the bookkeeping, preaches occasionally, and assists Pastor Ryan with other shepherding duties.

David grew up on a family farm in Kansas. His path to Philadelphia took him to China where he taught English for a year and half until he came to the Philadelphia area to earn his M.Div/MBA from Eastern University and Palmer Seminary. He also currently serves as Director of Finance and Operations at The Philadelphia Project, a ministry that exists to partner with churches and serve our most vulnerable neighbors.

City Line has been a vital part of David’s life over the last 12 years. During that time he has served in various roles at the church, including as Pastoral Intern, Ministry Director during a Pastor's sabbatical, head of the projection team for Sunday services, and most recently as interim pastor during our pastoral search. He enjoys working on home improvement projects in his free time and camping and hiking with his wife, Mesha, and son, Jaythan.

Tom was privileged to be a part of the City Line Church planting team, and became an Elder when the church was particularized in November 2008.  He oversees the Praise and Worship Ministry and has the heart of a worshipper, especially as one who loves to see the increase of the worship of our Lord.

Besides Christ, his strength comes from his wife of over 17 years, and his two young girls.  Outside of his role in the church, he serves as a Physical Therapist on the Main Line. Tom originally hails from the great state of Michigan, but has called Philly “home” for the past 20+ years.  He also enjoys sports, live music, fishing, and the home-brewing of finely crafted beer. Cheers!

Richie joined the City Line Session as an Elder in January of 2015.

Richie and his wife Katie moved to Philadelphia in 2009 in order for him to finish his training as a clinical psychologist. Richie currently works at a philanthropic foundation and maintains a small psychotherapy practice. Richie and Katie live in the northwest suburbs of Philly with their two young sons.

Richie enjoys his family, his friends, good conversation, running, eating, working, watching Star Trek (TNG/DS9 preferred), and spending time on his family's dairy farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Whether in South Africa - his home country till the age of 15 - or here in Philadelphia, Edwin has always found church to be his home. It started even as a young boy when he learned the guitar to join his worship team, and he continues to be a part of the team here at City Line. Edwin became an Elder at City Line in January of 2015.

He is married to Jehnell – also a South African – and new cultural experiences and cuisine, soccer, novel scientific studies, and car mechanics are a range of things that interest him. Jehnell and Edwin have an energetic son, Micah, and a baby girl on the way! One of his favorite classes in college as a science major was "Foundations of Christian Spirituality" which instigated his passion for the spiritual disciplines. If you meet, ask him about his chicken bone story - how God had a bone to pick with him, literally!

Mesha grew up in New Mexico and lived briefly in Seattle and Birmingham. She spent four years in Lima, Peru as the Communications Officer for a non-profit community development organization, and then moved to Philadelphia in 2010 to serve as Communication Strategist for a U.S.-based mission organization. She’s excited to live more slowly and deeply and discover how her experiences and who she is can serve her City Line family at this time.

In her free time, Mesha enjoys traveling, hiking with her son and husband, cooking, being in nature, and is about 4 years late to the sourdough baking craze.

Laura Reist
Preschool Head Teacher

Laura and her husband Scott moved to Upper Darby in 2006 after serving overseas for a decade. They have been at City Line since summer 2013. They have three married children and two grandchildren with another one on the way.

Laura is a pre-school teacher at a local nursery school.  She loves telling little children how much God loves them and their families.  She enjoys being outside exploring nature and hiking with Scott and other friends.

Kindell was raised in Ardmore and stayed local by attending Temple University to complete a degree in elementary and special education. Upon graduation, Kindell worked in the Philadelphia School District as both a Classroom Teacher and a Special Education Teacher. Through this time in the school district as well as working at a therapeutic horseback riding academy, Kindell developed a love of instruction and working with children.

As the Head Teacher in the Lower Elementary Class (LEC), Kindell hopes to develop both a sense of community for the K-2nd grade kids as well as beginning their ability to let the Word of God saturate their hearts through discussion as well as reflection.  Prayerfully, this allows the LEC to grow in both their understanding of God as well as their care for one another.

As a busy mom of three boys, Kindell loves outdoor adventures, time at the beach, and reading a good book.

Megan Reiley
Upper Elementary Class Head Teacher

Megan and her family have lived on both sides of Pennsylvania multiple times but are happy to be settled in the Philadelphia area now. They have been attending City Line since 2021. She has taught kids through adults at various times throughout her life but enjoys the questions and energy that 8-11 year-olds bring to all aspects of life.

Megan's goal with the Upper Elementary Class (3rd-5th graders) is for them to realize the truths of the gospel and begin to apply them to their own lives and situations. As they grow older, the hope is that they become more aware of who God is, his love for them, and how their lives can be changed as a result.

Megan has two elementary-school-aged boys and they enjoy finding new playgrounds and parks to explore.

Stephen has been an active member of our church since 2011 when he first visited, and has dedicated much of his time to serving in different volunteer roles over the years. He spent 7 years serving with Young Life and attended Eastern University, where he studied youth ministry and Biblical studies. In the summer of 2024, he officially joined the staff at City Line as the Youth Ministry Coordinator.

Stephen has a passion for creating fun, engaging, and meaningful events that help young people deepen their faith and build strong connections with one another. He believes in the importance of community and hopes to ensure that all youth feel welcome and supported in their spiritual journeys.

Outside of his church involvement, Stephen owns his own junk removal and hauling company, and is planning to open a thrift shop and a community center some day. Stephen is an avid outdoor enthusiast and loves hiking, camping, and any activity that allows him to enjoy nature and stay active.

Ingrid hails from the neighboring state of Delaware and enjoys travel, photography, hiking, and camping in the outdoors.  After coming to Philadelphia for college, she worked in accounting until her first son was born.

Ingrid, her husband, Tom, and their three high-energy boys have been attending City Line Church since 2012.  Ingrid feels blessed to be able to serve God with her accounting skills, in addition to her full-time job of raising her kids and attempting to model God’s love and faithfulness to them.
