What we do here and how to get involved

THE MISSION TEAM coordinates the “outward” face of City Line Church, bolstering both the congregation as well as its partner organizations in the work of loving Philadelphia and the world as ambassadors of God’s purposes in Jesus Christ.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Scott Reist.

Encouraging and Supporting: Short-term Trips

City Line occasionally organizes short-term trips with various cross-cultural agencies. If you are interested in joining a trip, please contact Scott Reist.

In addition, attendees of City Line Church can apply for support for short-term trips that they are initiating. To learn more about the application process, please contact Scott Reist.

Loving Philadelphia: local partner organizations
  • Hunting Park Christian Academy(HPCA) – HPCA, located in Northeast Philadelphia, provides quality, affordable, Christian education that celebrates a diverse community and leads children to know and serve the Lord.  Approximately 200 children, pre-kindergarten to eighth grade, attend HPCA. For more information about HPCA, contact Scott Reist.

  • Esperanza Health Center(EHC)- Compelled by the love of God, in cooperation with the Church and others, EHC is a multi-cultural ministry providing holistic health care to the Latino and underserved communities of Philadelphia. EHC operates three community health centers in North Philadelphia.  For more information about EHC, contact Scott Reist.
LOVING THE WORLD: GLOBAL PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

City Line partners with individuals and organizations serving in different parts of the world. At present, we have global mission partners serving in Asia, Africa and Central America.

  • Tip and Patrick Boonrang. The Boonrangs serve as the Asia Regional Coordinators for Serve Globally. They provide leadership, support, and care for their global personnel and national partners in 7 countries in Asia to more effectively advance the Gospel in their local contexts. In addition, the Boonrangs are engaged in local ministries of evangelism, discipleship, and development and host short-term teams to serve in the border regions of Thailand.

  • Daniel and Priscila Cummings. The Cummings are both doctors who minister alongside their Angolan brothers and sisters at Kalukembe mission hospital. The physical needs are huge, with drought, food shortage, malaria, drug-resistant TB and maternal and neonatal mortality (among other things) all too common. And so are the spiritual needs. There is great need to understand the sufficiency of Christ’s death and resurrection for our salvation, and to believe in a personal God who walks with us through our suffering, actively invested in redeeming our communities, our bodies and, most of all, our hearts.

For more information about our global partners and how you can get to know their work, please contact Scott Reist.
